Cruel Intentions occurs as 1999 feature film starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Selma Blair, and Reese Witherspoon. It was according to a 18th century French novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses, but unlike more modern film versions of the novel (like Dangerous Liaisons and Valmont), Cruel Intentions was set in the present & played by owning teenagers. A film was freed in March Five, 1999.

the plot concerns a bet manufactured between Kathryn Merteuil (played by Gellar) & her half brother Sebastian Valmont (played by Phillippe). Sebastian must seduce Annette Hargrove (played by Witherspoon), the virgin and the girl of the principal of a private school that the threesome attend.

A moving picture received considerable criticism for its portrayal of stripling inside intimate situations.
